Jackie Jacobs is a Lecturer and Director of the MS program in Management and Human Resources at the Department of Management and Entrepreneurship in the Haslam College of Business, University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She teaches courses such as Leading Complex Organizations, Data-driven Decision Making, and Foundations of HRM at the graduate level, and Principles of Management and Organizational Behavior at the undergraduate level. Jacobs has been recognized with multiple teaching awards, including the UT Alumni Association’s Outstanding Teacher Award (2022) and the Southern Management Association 'Best in Track' award (2023).

Her research focuses on work teams, compensation systems, leadership development, performance appraisal methodologies, and organizational training frameworks. She has explored team-based reward systems, including a grant from the American Compensation Association, and contributed to journals such as Research in Organizational Behavior and Leadership Quarterly. Jacobs has presented over 19 papers at conferences like the Academy of Management and Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology.

Jacobs has directed the MSMHR program and served as a core faculty member in UT’s Full-Time MBA and Professional MBA programs. Her advisory roles include mentoring the Management Society, which earned her the Faculty Advisor of the Year Award (2019).
