Cheryl Barksdale is a Distinguished Lecturer in the Department of Management & Entrepreneurship at the Haslam College of Business, University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She teaches courses on management, leadership, and human resource management. Her consulting work focuses on regional organizations like the Knoxville Utilities Board and Boys and Girls Clubs of the Tennessee Valley.
Education: Ph.D. in Industrial-Organizational Psychology (University of Tennessee, 2007); B.S. in Psychology (University of Alabama, 1999).
Research interests include organizational behavior, leadership development, and HR practices. Her awards highlight her dedication to teaching and student success, including the Allen H. Keally Excellence in Teaching Award (2013) and two Outstanding Awards from the MS Management program (2015, 2022).
Outside academia, she is passionate about farm-fresh cooking and culinary experimentation.
