Howard I. Scher, MD is a Professor of Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College and holds the D. Wayne Calloway Chair in Urologic Oncology. He previously served as Chief of the Genitourinary Oncology Service at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) for 25 years. His expertise lies in treating advanced prostate cancer and developing targeted therapies and biomarkers like circulating tumor cell analysis. He leads major initiatives including the Prostate Cancer Clinical Trials Consortium and the NCI-sponsored Prostate Cancer SPORE program.
