Dr. Heejin Jang is an Adjunct Professor of Piano at Oklahoma City University's School of Music, specializing in Group Piano instruction. She holds a DMA in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from the University of Oklahoma (2014) and prior degrees from Ewha Women’s University (BM, 200?) and OU (MM, 200?).
Her performance career includes soloist roles in major competitions and collaborations with opera productions like Lakmé, Marriage of Figaro, Die Fledermaus, and The Turn of the Screw. She has extensive teaching experience, including a teaching assistantship at OU and recognition as one of the top 10% graduate teaching assistants via the Provost's Award (2013).
Key honors include MTNA competition victories (2009–2011), the Donna Turner Smith Competition (2012), and sustained excellence in piano pedagogy.
