Kent Eshelman, Professor of Euphonium and Tuba at Baylor University's School of Music, has been a faculty member since 2009. Prior appointments include Northern Arizona University, Western Kentucky University, and Grand Valley State University. His educational background includes degrees from the University of Michigan (BM, BFA), University of Wisconsin-Madison (MM), and Michigan State University (DMA).

A renowned soloist and performer, Dr. Eshelman specializes in brass pedagogy, orchestral training, and jazz interpretation. His work spans classical chamber ensembles, jazz collaborations, and boogie-woogie piano performance.
His accolades include international competition victories at Jeju (South Korea), Leonard Falcone (USA), Midland-Odessa Symphony, and Rich Matteson events. He has premiered compositions by prominent composers like Bruce Broughton and Anthony Plog.
