William Ransom

William Ransom is the Mary L. Emerson Professor of Piano at Emory University and founder/Artistic Director of the Emory Chamber Music Society of Atlanta. An internationally renowned pianist, he performs with orchestras including Atlanta Symphony and collaborates with artists like Yo-Yo Ma. He holds degrees: BM/MM from Juilliard School, DMA from University of Michigan.

He directs the Highlands-Cashiers Chamber Music Festival (NC), Juneau Jazz & Classics Festival (AK), and previously taught at Kamisaibara Pianists Camp (Japan). Awards include Musical America Worldwide's '30 Musical Innovators' recognition.
