Janci Bronson is a Teaching Professor of Music at Iowa State University (ISU), serving as Coordinator of Class Piano and Piano Pedagogy. She holds a PhD in Music Education (Piano Pedagogy) from the University of Oklahoma (2016), MM in Piano Performance & Pedagogy (2007), and BM in Piano Performance (summa cum laude, 2005) from Kansas State University.
- Teaches MUS 127/128/227/228 (Class Piano), MUS 327A (Functional Piano Skills), and MUS 415B (Piano Pedagogy)
- Recipient of 2021/2022 ISU Miller Open Education Mini-Grants for class piano instructional videos
Active in the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA): IMTA Immediate Past State President, former IMTA State President & Technology Chair, and 2017 IMTA Distinguished Service Award winner. Led the 2017 IMTA state conference at ISU and served as OU and KSU MTNA chapter president.
Maintains a private piano studio producing competition winners and students accepted into top programs. Designed/taught Children’s Intro to Piano classes in Ames (2019).
