Billy Palumbo is a Professor of Film in the Department of Film at Oklahoma City University's Arts & Sciences School. He directs the Wide Open Experimental Film Festival (WOEFF), an annual event showcasing avant-garde cinema. Holding both a BA and MFA from Emerson College, his work explores the fluidity of moving images through experimental techniques. Key research interests include abstract imagery, historical reinterpretation, and the intersection of cinema with contemporary art forms.
Palumbo's films have screened globally at festivals like Alchemy Film & Arts, Athens International Film + Video Festival, and Onion City Experimental Film Festival. He also curates the Spoons on the Ground Instagram project, documenting found spoons as a meditative artistic practice.
