Dr. Guljira Manimont is a Senior Lecturer in Business and Management (Marketing, Strategy and Innovation) at Bournemouth University. Her expertise spans consumer behavior, sustainability, tourism marketing, and visual influence on consumer perceptions. She holds a PhD in Marketing from Queensland University of Technology (2021), an MSc in International Marketing from the University of Strathclyde (2013), and a Bachelor of Business in Hospitality Management from James Cook University (2011).
Her research focuses on the intersection of food aesthetics, sustainable consumption, and destination branding. Notable contributions include studies on food photography’s impact on culinary destinations, imperfect food acceptance, and sustainable design. She was awarded the ACORN Fund (2022) for her project exploring food photos’ influence on destination attractiveness in Dorset and Hampshire, UK.
Guljira collaborates internationally with universities in Thailand, Slovakia, and Australia, supported by grants from the British Academy/Leverhulme and KMITL. Her work addresses UN SDGs related to sustainable cities (Goal 11) and responsible consumption (Goal 12).
Teaching spans postgraduate and undergraduate programs, including Integrated Marketing Communications, Sustainability and Social Marketing, and Global Business Environment. She actively mentors PhD students in areas like social media adoption, destination brand performance, and sustainable food consumption.
