Gregory Allen is a Senior Lecturer in Organisational Behaviour at the School of Management (part of the Faculty of Business and Law), located in Cambridge. His expertise spans business management, leadership, human resources, and postcolonial perspectives in work environments. He holds a PhD from the University of Bolton, an MA in Sociology from Lancaster University, and a BSc in Geography from the University of Winnipeg. His research focuses on cross-cultural management, workplace diversity, and critical leadership studies, often integrating postcolonial theory into organisational dynamics.
Research Interests:
Allen’s work explores critical management studies, cross-cultural dynamics in global workplaces, and the under-representation of marginalized groups in industries like construction. He examines how historical colonial legacies influence modern organisational practices, particularly in Poland. His recent projects include a Research England-funded study on gender disparities in green sectors.
Teaching & Supervision:
He teaches modules on global HRM, leadership, and organisational psychology, emphasizing critical perspectives. He supervises dissertations on topics like HRM systems in airlines and innovative practices in Nigeria’s oil sector.
