Gregory Allen is a Senior Lecturer in Organisational Behaviour and Head of the School of Management within the Faculty of Business and Law. His expertise spans cross-cultural management, workplace diversity, leadership, and critical management studies. He holds a PhD from the University of Bolton and has taught at various levels including MA HR Management, MBA, and BSc programs.
Education: PhD in Sociological Studies (University of Bolton), MA Sociology (Lancaster University), PG Certificate in Business Research Methods (University of Central Lancashire), BSc Geography (University of Winnipeg).
Research Interests: Explores postcolonial perspectives on work, cross-cultural management dynamics, and the future of work. His work critiques traditional paradigms, emphasizing innovative, hybrid approaches to contemporary challenges. Recent projects include a Research England-funded study on gender disparities in construction and green sectors.
Teaching: Focuses on interactive methods, covering global HRM, leadership, organisational psychology, and research methodologies. Supervises major projects across multiple degree programs.
Grants/Consultancy: Principal Investigator on a project addressing women's underrepresentation in construction and green industries. Active in editorial roles and professional memberships, including Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and British Sociological Association.
