Prof. Dr. Gerhard Werle is a Senior Professor at the Humboldt University of Berlin's Faculty of Law. His research focuses on International Criminal Law, Transitional Justice, and transnational legal frameworks, particularly in African contexts. He co-founded the African-German Research Network for Transnational Criminal Justice and organizes annual Summer Schools on related topics. Werle has been actively involved in academic administration and international legal projects since his retirement in April 2020.
