Gerald Swaby is a Senior Lecturer at Leeds Law School, part of Leeds Beckett University. His academic roles span 18 years in higher education, with expertise in Business, Contract, Commercial, Consumer, Employment, and Company Law.
Education includes a LLB (Hons) from Leeds Metropolitan University, an LLM from the University of Sheffield, a PhD in Insurance Law from the University of Huddersfield, and a Post Graduate Certificate in Education from the University of Huddersfield.
Research focuses on commercial issues and Insurance fraud, with active supervision of PhD candidates in Civil Fraud, Insurance Fraud, Commercial Law, and Consumer Law. He is a Fellow of Advance HE.
