Gaëtan Temperman is a Lecturer in educational technology and teacher training at the University of Mons, where he is affiliated with the Educational Engineering and Digital Education Department (IPN) within the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, he serves as Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences, coordinating support for success in the first year of the bachelor's degree program. He also holds a visiting professor position at the University of Strasbourg.

His research focuses on the effects of pedagogical conditions linked to the use of digital technology on learning, with emphasis on both design and supervision aspects. His work bridges technological innovation with practical educational applications, particularly in interactive learning environments, educational scripting, development of educational materials, and evaluation of digital learning tools. He also has expertise in mathematics education and computational thinking in educational contexts, informed by his background as a primary school teacher.
Gaëtan Temperman is actively involved in educational innovation, having co-designed MOOCs titled "Educational innovation where you are the hero" and "Evaluation of digital environments for learning." He leads the "digital transition" component in the training program for directors of primary and secondary education.
