Karim Boumazguida is a Lecturer in Digital Citizenship Education at the Pedagogical and Digital Educational Engineering Department (IPN) within the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences (FPSE) at the University of Mons (UMONS). He concurrently serves as a Senior Teaching Assistant at the FPSE Faculty of University Teaching (CFPU), demonstrating a dual teacher-researcher role. Previously, he managed the Learning Center at UMONS' Charleroi campus (2016-2020), where he developed student support programs.
His research examines the pedagogical integration of digital technologies, with specializations in:
- Design and analysis of hybrid MOOC environments
- Digital citizenship education frameworks
- Technopedagogical interventions for learning enhancement
- Behavioral analysis of online learners
Karim co-created UMONS' inaugural MOOC, which achieved significant reach with 20,000+ participants. His student support initiatives include:
- Workshops on digital collaboration tools and academic methodology
- Remediation programs for at-risk students
- Practical work coordination across bachelor's curricula
- Cross-campus teaching at Mons and Charleroi locations
