Franziska Huhn

Franziska Huhn is an Adjunct Professor in the Music Department at Wellesley College, specializing in harp performance. As a celebrated harpist, she is active as a soloist, chamber musician, orchestral performer, and pedagogue, with a strong emphasis on contemporary music and collaborations with composers like Daniel Pinkham, Lior Navok, and John Heiss.

• Education: B.M. from Boston University, M.M. from New England Conservatory of Music, Artist Diploma from New England Conservatory (2005) and Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg (2007)

Her research interests include contemporary harp literature, classical harp repertoire, chamber music pedagogy, and orchestral performance practices. She has participated in ensembles such as Callithumpian Consort, Radius Ensemble, and Duo Elysee, while also performing with major orchestras like the Boston Symphony Orchestra.

Ms. Huhn holds teaching positions at multiple institutions, including New England Conservatory, Boston University, and Longy School of Music of Bard College. She co-founded the Summer Institute for Contemporary Performance Practice (SICPP) at New England Conservatory in 2007 and has mentored harpists at Boston University's Tanglewood Institute since 2003.
