Emiliano Bevilacqua is an Associate Professor of General Sociology (SPS/07) at the University of Salento, affiliated with both the Department of Experimental Medicine and the Department of Human and Social Sciences. He holds a PhD from Sapienza University of Rome, focusing on 'Class Analysis and Globalization.' His research spans social theory, subjectivity in economic and political contexts, social inequalities, biopolitics, and the history of sociological thought. He has authored and edited books such as Love and Sexuality in Social Science (2025) and Gemelli Diversi (2021), and contributes to journals like Rassegna Italiana di Sociologia and Frontiers in Sociology.
- Teaching: Courses include Institutions of Sociology, Sociological Foundations of Medical and Health Sciences, and Social Research Methodology.
- Administrative Roles: Vice-president of the Sociology Degree Course, CIDAS board member (National Conference of Sociology Departments), and member of the Doctorate Teaching Board in Human and Social Sciences.
