Angelo SALENTO

Angelo SALENTO is a Full Professor of Economic Sociology and Sociology of Work at the University of Salento, affiliated with the Department of Human and Social Sciences. He holds a PhD in Sociology of Law from the University of Milan and is qualified to practice law. His roles include President of the Sociology Degree Courses, member of the PhD School in Human and Social Sciences, and Convenor of the Master Course in Sustainable Gastronomies and Food Policies.

Education: Law degree from the University of Bologna and a PhD in Sociology of Law from the University of Milan.

Research focuses on social theory, organizational work, financialization, local development, and foundational economy. He has participated in national (PRIN) and international research programs, including visiting roles at the University of Manchester’s CRESC and Sciences Po Bordeaux.

Professional activities include teaching, organizing conferences, and serving as Rector’s delegate for Job Placement (2014–2019). He is also on the editorial boards of 'Sociologica' and 'Sociologia del Lavoro'.
