Elizabeth Frost is a Clinical Professor at the University of Oregon School of Law’s Legal Research and Writing Center. She holds a BA from Yale University and a JD from the University of Michigan Law School, where she served as managing editor of the *Michigan Journal of Race and Law*. Before academia, she practiced commercial real estate law with Sidley Austin in Los Angeles and Chicago.
Professionally, Frost is a leader in legal writing education. She served as editor-in-chief of *Legal Writing: The Journal of the Legal Writing Institute* and currently sits on its editorial board. She actively participates in the Association of Legal Writing Directors (ALWD) and Legal Writing Institute (LWI), contributing to key committees like ALWD’s Scholarship Grants and Publications Committees. She has organized major conferences, including ALWD’s 2019–2023 national conferences and hosted three regional events at Oregon Law.

- 2021 Orlando J. Hollis Teaching Award (Oregon Law’s top teaching honor)
As a Galen Scholar (twice), she developed innovative curricula to enhance students’ legal reading and writing skills. She also contributes regularly to the Oregon State Bar Bulletin’s *Legal Writer* column, sharing practical insights on legal writing best practices.
