Suzanne Rowe is the James L. and Ilene R. Hershner Professor and Director of the Legal Research and Writing Program at the University of Oregon School of Law. Her roles include leadership in major legal writing organizations such as the Association of Legal Writing Directors, the Legal Writing Institute, and the AALS Section on Legal Writing, Reasoning, and Research. She has served on ABA Site Visit teams and contributed to legal education through pedagogical innovation.
Rowe's scholarly contributions include founding the Legal Research Series with Carolina Academic Press and authoring articles on the Americans with Disabilities Act, legal writing pedagogy, and diversity in legal education. Her monthly column The Legal Writer in the Oregon State Bar Bulletin explores writing challenges in legal practice and education.
