Eilís Finnegan is an Assistant Professor at Auburn University's School of Architecture, Planning and Landscape Architecture (APLA), where she teaches in the Environmental Design program. She returned to Auburn as faculty after earning degrees from the university and the University of Michigan.

Her research focuses on hybrid project generation methods combining Artificial Intelligence, digital modeling, and speculative programming with collaborations across disciplines to create innovative design 'sites.' Finnegan explores intersections between machine neural networks and human neurodivergent experiences to reimagine architecture's role in navigating digital, physical, and cultural systems.
She collaborates with Project Sleep on sleep health advocacy and has contributed to initiatives like the Chicago Architecture Biennial (CAB5) and digital waste programming projects. Finnegan also engages in interdisciplinary design camps for high school students and works on AI-human collaboration frameworks.
Professional experience includes roles as Research Assistant and Graduate Student Instructor at Taubman College, University of Michigan, and positions at RVTR research firm and MacKay-Lyons Sweetapple Architects.
