Dr. Duy Tan Nguyen is a Teaching Fellow in Business Logistics and Transport at the University of Greenwich, affiliated with the Faculty of Business and School of Business, Operations and Strategy. He completed his PhD in Logistics and Operations Management at HEC Montreal in 2023, following dual master's degrees in Global Supply Chain Management (HEC Montreal) and International Business (University of Melbourne). His undergraduate degree is in International Business Economics with a specialization in Foreign Trade.
Nguyen's research explores data-driven and sustainable operations and supply chain management. His work focuses on optimizing logistics systems through analytics while integrating environmental sustainability considerations across manufacturing and service industries. Key research areas include green supply chain integration, resilience planning in global networks, and technology adoption in emerging economies.
His recent publications demonstrate a strong focus on sustainable operations, with 2024 studies examining green practices in Vietnamese manufacturing, resilience frameworks for apparel supply chains, Construction 4.0 adoption in Vietnam, and lean implementation in Canadian construction. These works employ diverse methodologies including empirical analysis, fuzzy Delphi studies, and simulation modeling to address contemporary supply chain challenges.
Nguyen has presented his research at multiple international academic conferences and publishes in top-tier journals including Omega–International Journal of Management Science and International Journal of Production Research.
