Prof. Diler Öner is a faculty member at the School of Education, Bogazici University, where she works in the Computer Education and Educational Technology department. With a PhD in Curriculum and Instruction > Educational Technology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (2006), her research focuses on AI in education, technology-based learning environments, and teacher knowledge frameworks like TPACK.

Research Interests include:
- AI literacy and competency in education
- Virtually mediated learning environments (e.g., web-based portfolios, virtual internships, VMT)

- Teacher knowledge (TPACK, PCK), reflective and critical thinking
- Mixed methods, quantitative ethnography, and ENA for research design
Recent Projects highlight her focus on AI literacy, epistemic games, and neurotechnological solutions. She has led and advised grants from TUBITAK, BAP, COST, and NSF.
Scientific Awards include the TUBITAK 3501 Career Grant. She has mentored over 15 graduate students in areas like computational thinking, virtual reality, and teacher identity.
