David Hunt is a Senior Lecturer in Secondary Education specializing in Computer Science at the University of Worcester. He leads the PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education) for Computer Science and oversees the West Midlands Computing at Schools (CAS) hub. With 22 years of teaching and management experience in secondary schools, he transitioned to higher education to establish the Computer Science PGCE in 2013. His work focuses on integrating technology-enhanced learning (TEL) into teacher training and advancing physical computing in education.

Research interests include technology-based pedagogies, teacher training methodologies, and STEM education innovation. He is a STEM ambassador and teaching lead for Prince Henry's SCITT (School-Centred Initial Teacher Training). His Master's research evaluated the impact of the TEL programme using appreciative inquiry.
Awards include the HEA Fellowship and recognition for teaching excellence. He collaborates actively with professional bodies and contributes to educational publications.
