Dafydd Evans

Professor Dafydd Evans is a Clinical Professor of Medical Genetics and Cancer Epidemiology at The University of Manchester and a Consultant in Medical Genetics and Cancer Epidemiology at Central Manchester Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and The Christie NHS Foundation Trust. He specializes in inherited breast/ovarian cancer and neurofibromatosis, with a focus on cancer prevention and imaging innovations.

• Leadership: Former Chairman of NICE Familial Breast Cancer Guideline Development Group (2002–2010), Theme Lead for NIHR Biomedical Research Centre

Research Interests: Genetic predisposition to cancer, prevention strategies, and high-tech imaging applications. Notable contributions include developing the UK's largest NF2 clinical database and leading national breast cancer risk prediction initiatives.
