David French

David French is Professor of Health Psychology at University of Manchester and NIHR Senior Investigator. Researches behavior change interventions for chronic disease prevention, particularly diabetes management and breast cancer risk communication. Leads evaluations of NHS national programs.

Research areas include:

• Digital health interventions
• Risk communication in screening programs
• Implementation science
• Health service evaluation

Current projects: NHS Diabetes Prevention Programme evaluation, breast cancer risk assessment implementation. President-elect of European Health Psychology Society. Extensive funding from NIHR and CRUK.
