Craig’s research investigates gender performance in self-help literature, television, social media, and advertising. Current projects examine: billboard representations of plus-size models, masculinity in Cobra Kai, sex self-help books for men, parenting guides for feminist sons, and TikTok self-presentations by ostomates. His work bridges gender theory with media analysis, often using ethnographic and visual methods.
Recent publications highlight his contributions to understanding masculinity discourses in dance classes, reality TV partnerships, and health media. Craig welcomes PhD supervision proposals exploring gender performance through qualitative frameworks.
