Constantine Karathanasis

Constantine Karathanasis is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Classics at Texas A&M University. He holds a B.A. in Philology (Classics Major) from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, an M.Litt. in Greek and Latin from the University of St. Andrews, and a Ph.D. in Classics from Washington University in St. Louis. His research focuses on the socio-political history of ancient Athens, particularly the influence of Athenian public finance on democratic civic behavior during the Classical period. He is currently preparing a monograph on this topic. Beyond academia, he enjoys exploring Latin elegy and satire.
