Christopher Fox is Professor of Evaluation and Policy Analysis at Manchester Metropolitan University, where he serves as Faculty Director of Research for Arts and Humanities and leads the Policy Evaluation and Research Unit. He holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Sheffield and directs major research initiatives in criminal justice reform and public service innovation.
His research focuses on:
- Outcome-based payment systems
- Probation and youth justice
- Economic analysis of crime
- Innovative social investment models
Fox has directed over £6 million in evaluation projects, including Horizon2020 initiatives on social innovation and child wellbeing. He serves on advisory boards for Her Majesty's Inspectorate of Probation and the Ministry of Justice Expert Network.
Teaching includes modules on Policy Evaluation, Quantitative Methods, and Working with Offenders. He supervises PhD research on offender rehabilitation, Social Impact Bonds, and public service reform.
