Christopher E. Donald

Christopher E. Donald is a Lecturer at the University of Maryland's built environment school. He currently serves as the Executive Director/CEO of the District of Columbia Housing Finance Agency (DCHFA), overseeing strategic direction, multifamily lending, and neighborhood investments. Previously, he held roles at The Leidesdorff Group, Arlington Partnership for Affordable Housing, and Lehman Brothers.

Education: Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Stanford University (1995).

His expertise spans real estate finance, community development, and housing policy. He has managed over $1 billion in real estate financing, including low-income housing tax credit transactions and public charter school improvements. Notable projects include the entitlement of 1MM sq ft of mixed-income housing and financing for transit-oriented developments across D.C., Maryland, and Virginia.

Mr. Donald serves on boards such as the National Association of Local Housing Finance Agencies and the Urban Land Institute. His work focuses on urban regeneration, affordable housing solutions, and leveraging tax incentives for community growth.
