Richelle Allen is an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Real Estate Development at Tulane University’s School of Architecture and serves as Vice President of Corporate Finance & Asset Management at HRI Hospitality. She combines academic instruction with over a decade of professional experience leading large-scale real estate development projects across hospitality, multifamily housing, mixed-use, and affordable housing sectors. Her career has focused on post-disaster recovery (e.g., post-Hurricane Katrina rebuilding) and sustainable development advocacy.
Education: She holds a Master of Finance (2007) and a Bachelor of Science in Management (2006), both from Tulane University’s A.B. Freeman School of Business.
Research & Advocacy: Her work emphasizes institutional real estate finance, tax credit utilization (federal/state), and policy advocacy for affordable housing, historic preservation, and walkable communities.
