Daniela Rivero Bryant is a Professor of Practice in Real Estate Development at Tulane University. Her research focuses on the impact of natural disasters on cities and individuals, emphasizing resilience, recovery, and policy. She holds a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from St. Paul’s Catholic University in Bolivia and is completing a Ph.D. in Economics at Tulane (expected May 2023).

Research Interests: Daniela explores how government policy and leadership influence disaster resilience, urban recovery, and community development. Her work bridges economics with practical field initiatives, addressing vulnerabilities in cities like El Alto, Bolivia, and post-Katrina New Orleans.

Professional Experience: Daniela led nonprofit organizations such as Rebuilding Together (Field Operations Director and Executive Director), coordinating the reconstruction of over 1,000 homes post-Katrina. She also served on boards including the Louisiana Land Trust and Algiers Development District. Her career spans 20+ years in disaster recovery and community development globally.
