Christine Padgett

Christine Padgett is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Psychological Sciences at the University of Tasmania. She holds a PhD in Psychology (2016) and a Bachelor of Psychology (Hons) (2008), both from the University of Tasmania. Her research focuses on clinical neuropsychology, behavioral genetics, and learning & teaching innovations. Key projects include the TALK-TBI initiative, addressing traumatic brain injury (TBI) awareness and its societal impacts, as well as exploring genetic factors influencing recovery from TBI and the psychosocial effects of rare diseases. She also investigates online learning engagement and student feedback mechanisms. Teaching roles include coordinating courses like 'Understanding Traumatic Brain Injury' MOOC and overseeing the Bachelor of Psychological Science program. She supervises doctoral students across topics like TBI in family violence contexts, multiple sclerosis self-concept changes, and equine-assisted therapy.
