Dr. Yasmine Doust is a Research Fellow at the University of Tasmania's Wicking Dementia Research Education Centre. Her research focuses on neurodegenerative mechanisms linking traumatic brain injury (TBI) to dementia, particularly investigating microglial biology and sex differences. She holds a PhD (2023) from the University of Tasmania, where she studied microglial responses in TBI using mouse models. Her work has been recognized with the 2023 Peter W. Smith Postgraduate Award.

Recent work includes analyzing participant demographics in TBI educational programs via the MRFF TALK-TBI initiative.
