Christine Damm is an Associate Professor of Music and Dean of the School of Fine Arts and Communication at Quincy University. She serves as Director of the Hawk Express Jazz Band, woodwind instructor, and Principal Clarinetist with the Quincy Symphony Orchestra. Her advocacy for new music includes premiering works and performing as a soloist with the Quincy Symphony Orchestra, QU Symphonic Band, and Quincy Area Clarinet Choir.
Dr. Damm holds a DMA from the University of Missouri–Kansas City, MM from the University of Illinois, and BA from Quincy University. Her research focuses on music education and performance, reflected in publications for journals like The Instrumentalist and Missouri Journal of Research in Music Education. She has presented at conferences including the Illinois Music Educators All-State Convention and Quincy University’s POLIS Lecture Series.
