Nicholas J. Carlson serves as Senior Lecturer and Acting Director of Bands at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC), where he teaches conducting, clarinet, chamber music, and directs the Wind Ensemble. Additionally, he is Music Director and Conductor of the University Wind Ensemble at the University of Chicago. His roles bridge academic instruction and artistic leadership in music performance.
