Michael Votta is a Professor of Conducting & Ensembles and Director of Bands at the University of Maryland's School of Music. Appointed in 2008, he leads the acclaimed UMD Wind Orchestra, which has performed at international conferences and collaborated with major artists like the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra and Eighth Blackbird. His ensembles are praised for precision and innovative programming.
