Professor Christina Mitchell AO is the Executive Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences at Monash University. She holds a Medicine degree from Melbourne University and a PhD from Monash University focusing on protein S anticoagulant activity. Her roles include Head of the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (2000–2006) and Head of the School of Biomedical Sciences (2006–2011). Her research centers on phosphoinositide signaling in cancer, leading a top global research group in this field. She has secured over $30M in grants, including an NHMRC L3 Investigator Grant (2023). Awards include the Order of Australia (2019), Fellow of the Australian Academy of Health and Medical Sciences (2014), and the Lemberg Medal (2015).
