Christina Conn serves as a Con Vivo Choir Teacher-Conductor at the Lawrence Community Music School, part of Lawrence University, with her affiliation beginning in 2023. She maintains a dual teaching career, also instructing choir at James Madison Middle School and Appleton East High School in Appleton, Wisconsin.
Her professional expertise spans several key areas:
- Music Education with Choral/General Music Emphasis
- Comprehensive Musicianship through Performance (CMP) methodology
- Culturally and Linguistically Responsive (CLR) teaching practices
- Choral conducting techniques for diverse student populations
As an active member of the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA), Ms. Conn has served as a clinician for Singing in Wisconsin programs at both middle and high school levels. She demonstrates commitment to professional development through specialized coaching in culturally responsive teaching approaches and has performed with several regional ensembles including the Eau Claire Master Singers and newVoices in Appleton.
Ms. Conn contributes to music education development by mentoring future educators through practicum placements and serving as a cooperating teacher. Her educational background includes a Bachelor of Music Education with departmental honors from UW-Eau Claire (2005), often referred to as "Wisconsin's Singing University."
