Jaclyn Kottman Hittner (she/her) is the Artistic Director of the Girl Choir Program and Lecturer of Music at Lawrence University. She holds a B.M. in Music Education from Lawrence University (2012) and an M.M. in Music Education from Boston University, focusing on empowerment through adolescent voice change. With over a decade in music education, she teaches choral and general music, specializing in culturally responsive pedagogy and holistic student engagement. Her leadership roles include Director of Operations for the Mile of Music Festival’s Education Team, teacher-leader in CLR (Culturally and Linguistically Responsive) Teaching, and curriculum coach. Hittner advocates for the Comprehensive Musicianship through Performance (CMP) model and actively presents at conferences on topics like adolescent voice development and technology integration.
