Christina Aggar

Christina Aggar is an Associate Professor in Nursing at the Faculty of Health, Southern Cross University, with a conjoint appointment at Northern NSW Local Health District. Her work spans clinical research, education, and workforce development.

• Leading NHMRC-funded studies on emergency nursing and caregiving
• Co-founded the Resilient Ageing in Supportive Environments (RAISE) research theme
• Secured over $7M in research funding, including DFAT New Colombo Plan grants

Research Focus: Aging, family caregiving, social prescribing, delirium management, and emergency nursing. Her work informs national frameworks and policy recommendations.

Teaching Leadership: Pioneered Australia's first Primary Health Care Transition programs and mentored 9 HDR students. Collaborates with Indian universities on mobile health leadership programs.
