Dr. Madhan Balasubramanian is a Senior Lecturer and Deputy Director in the Health and Aged Care Management Programmes at Flinders University, Australia. He holds an honorary appointment as Senior Lecturer at the Menzies Centre for Health Policy and Economics, University of Sydney. His research focuses on health workforce governance, oral health equity, and aging populations. With over 60 peer-reviewed publications, he has secured ~$2 million in competitive grants, including an NHMRC Sidney Sax Fellowship.
Education: PhD (University of Adelaide, 2015), BDS (2003), and advanced training in health services management. Awards include NHMRC and Endeavour Fellowships. He leads interdisciplinary research on migrant health professionals, integrated care models, and health regulatory systems.
Research Themes: Future health workforce, oral/general health of older adults, health data science. Methodologies: Mixed methods, EHR analysis, predictive modeling.
