Alison Craswell

Associate Professor Alison Craswell is an academic and clinician at the University of the Sunshine Coast (UniSC), Queensland, Australia, holding dual roles as Cisco Research Chair in Digital Health and Ageing and Senior Research Fellow. She is affiliated with the School of Health, with a focus on Nursing and Health Informatics. Her primary research interests include digital health solutions for older adults, acute care models, and nurse practitioner roles in rural healthcare. Alison has over 20 years of clinical experience in nursing, midwifery, and neonatal care, complemented by extensive research collaborations with hospitals and health services.

Education: Alison holds a PhD (University of Wollongong), Graduate Diploma in Midwifery (Griffith University), Bachelor of Nursing (Queensland University), and a Bachelor of Applied Information Management (Queensland University).

• Developed the Geriatric Emergency Department Intervention (GEDI) recognized by the Queensland Government.
