Charles Esche is a Professor at Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London, serving as editorial director of Afterall Journal and co-founder of Afterall Books. He directs the Van Abbemuseum in Eindhoven and chairs CASCO, Utrecht. His work focuses on institutional critique and curatorial practices, particularly in museums and biennales. Esche has curated major exhibitions including the 2014 São Paulo Biennale and the 2005 Istanbul Biennial. He teaches on the MRes Art: Exhibition Studies program and contributes to academic discourse through publications like Art and Social Change.
