Serubiri Moses is an independent writer and curator affiliated with various academic institutions. He served as Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Art and Art History at Hunter College (2020–2021) and currently holds Visiting Faculty status at the Center for Curatorial Studies, Bard College (CCS Bard). His academic background includes an MA in Curatorial Studies from CCS Bard. Moses has held curatorial roles including co-curator for MoMA PS1's Greater New York (2020–2021) and participation in the 10th Berlin Biennale (2017–2018). His research focuses on African art history, postcolonial discourse, and curatorial methodologies.
Professional engagements include teaching at Dark Study (US), Digital Earth Fellowship (NL), and New Centre for Research and Practice (DE/US). His curatorial residencies and conferences span Africa, Asia, Latin America, and Europe. Notable projects include co-curating Kampala's KLA ART 2014 and serving as associate editor for START Journal (2013). Research interests encompass historical narration, language, and iconography, with participation in Bayreuth University's long-term project on African art aesthetics.
