Carolin Zorell is a Senior Lecturer in Political Science at Örebro University, affiliated with the Department of Political Science and the School of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences. She is also part of the Center for Social Science Environmental and Sustainability Research (CESSS). Her research focuses on political consumerism, sustainable consumption patterns, and the interplay between context, self-perceptions, and peer-group influences on consumer behavior. She employs mixed methods including surveys, experiments, and comparative analysis.
Education & Career:
- PhD and Master's in Political Science from University of Mannheim and University of Essex (2010–2016)
- Postdoc at Örebro University (2019–present)
- Previous roles include Researcher at University of Siegen (2016–2018), Lecturer at University of Mannheim (2018–2019), and Research Associate at Mannheim Centre for European Social Research
Research Interests: Political consumerism, environmental sustainability, food systems, behavioral change, and interdisciplinary methods combining political science, psychology, sociology, and economics.
