Brian Kennedy

Dr. Brian Kennedy is a Professor of Fishery Biology and Ecology at the University of Idaho's College of Natural Resources, Department of Fish and Wildlife Sciences. His research focuses on fish ecology, stream ecosystem dynamics, and biogeochemical processes in aquatic systems. Dr. Kennedy holds a Ph.D. in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from Dartmouth College (2000) and a B.S. in Biological Sciences from Colgate University (1991).

Research Interests: Kennedy's work explores fish bioenergetics, community ecology of streams, and the role of ecosystem controls on aquatic processes. He utilizes biogeochemical tracers and otolith microchemistry to study fish migration patterns and habitat use.
