Brenda Marshall is a Professor at the Faculty of Law, Bond University, since 2005. Previously, she lectured in the Schools of Business and Law at the University of Queensland. Her research focuses on trade practices law, consumer protection, competition law, and related themes such as market definition, misuse of market power, and access to essential infrastructure services. She actively supervises Higher Degree by Research (HDR) students in areas like competition law, cartel behavior, and consumer credit.
Her recent publications address digital market challenges, regulatory compliance in technology-driven environments, and anomalies in consumer credit law. Notable works include analyses of price-fixing pitfalls and collective bargaining in agriculture.
Brenda’s expertise spans legal frameworks governing digital markets, consumer rights, and competition policy. She contributes to peer-reviewed journals like Adelaide Law Review and Bond Law Review, emphasizing practical legal solutions for evolving commercial landscapes.
