Julie Clarke is Professor of Competition Law at Melbourne Law School, University of Melbourne, where she serves as Associate Dean (Teaching and Learning) and Director of the Global Competition and Consumer program. Her expertise spans competition policy, consumer protection, and antitrust regulation.
Academic Leadership: As Associate Dean, oversees teaching innovation and curriculum development. Founded the Australian Competition Law website for legal education and policy dissemination.
Research Expertise: Focuses on mergers, misuse of market power, cartel enforcement, and digital market regulation. Advises on competition policy reforms and legislative frameworks.
Professional Engagement: Member of Law Council of Australia's Competition and Consumer Committee. Board member of Barwon Community Legal Service (2015-2020) and UCD Centre for the Common Law in Europe advisory board.
