Božo Paradžik

Božo Paradžik is the International Professor of Double Bass at the Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM). A renowned orchestral musician turned soloist and pedagogue, he has held principal positions in orchestras like the Residentie Orchestra in The Hague, Stuttgart Radio Symphony Orchestra, and Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra. Collaborations with conductors such as Claudio Abbado, Georges Prêtre, and Carlo Maria Giulini highlight his orchestral career. His solo debut on EMI/Virgin Classics in 2000 established him globally, with works like the Beethoven Cello Sonatas (released as Double Bass Goes Beethoven Vol.1 in 2012) gaining critical acclaim.

Teaching since 2000, Paradžik has held professorships at institutions including Musikhochschule Freiburg (since 2003) and Hochschule Luzern-Musik (since 2010). His current focus includes surround-sound recordings of his repertoire, with upcoming releases.
